Heather has been teaching yoga for four years now. She competed her 200hr yoga teacher training at the Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico, and has since taught yoga on an island off of Vancouver island, a beach in Sri Lanka, a forest in the mountains of B.C and, more conventionally, in a studio. According to Heather, what makes her a good teacher is that she’s first and foremost a great student.. A sincere and dedicated student to this incredible practice.
When teaching yoga, Heather aims to create a space and practice that allows each individual to take away a little piece of mindfulness. Introducing mindful practices means you start to notice the little things, it makes you more aware of changes you need to make in your life- whether big or small- that actually result in you being happier. The easiest place to start is with the physical body and the breath. Given space and time, you’ll be surprised at how much you will start to notice things about your body that you never have before. you’ll also notice things about your breath too, which is really cool. but it does take time, commitment and of course practice.
She hopes you’ll join her in rolling out a mat and stepping onto your journey into yoga.
